Kurzbeschreibung/Zielsetzung

We will retrospectively select SARS-CoV-2 infected adults who attended
the ED of St.Gallen and Bellinzona. We want to measure the
concentrations from stored blood samples of:
Biomarkers of immune dysfunction: e.g., C reactive protein,
procalcitonin, IL-6, IL-8, sTREM1, TNF-alpha, IP-10 and biomarkers of
endothelial dysfunction, e.g., angiopoietin-2. We want to conduct a
validation of the performance of the sTREM1 based algorithm described
by Van Singer et al, to predict 30-day intubation/mortality in COVID-19
patients and the validaton of the performance of the IL-6 based algorithm
described by Van Singer et al, to predict 30-day oxygen requirement.
