Kurzbeschreibung/Zielsetzung
Coagulation disturbances are a mayor event in severe sepsis and septic shock. Activated protein C may reduce mortality in these patients by its antiinflammatory, antithrombotic and antifibrinolytic effect. However, bleeding complications are more frequent.
