Kurzbeschreibung/Zielsetzung
This short review focuses on non-specific defences against infectious agents and the immune response in the elderly patient. The problem of hypogammaglobulinemia in patients with myeloma or leukemia, and its treatment with intravenous immunoglobulins, is also discussed.
