Brief description/objective

Recent guidelines proposed new taxonomic classifications for COPD, so-called etiotypes, which have clinical relevance for management and treatment of patients. This project hypothesizes that information extracted from patients' electronic health records can be used to validate, refine and discover new etiotypes in COPD through usage of AI-based and clinically validated large language models.
