ETH Zurich, Empa, Kantonsspital St.Gallen (KSSG), the University of St.Gallen (HSG) and the Canton of St.Gallen are planning to establish a joint professorship between ETH Zurich and Empa in St.Gallen by 2025. The professorship will develop new diagnostic methods and prognostic models with the help of biosensors and validate them in clinical tests on patients. The focus is on medical specialties such as oncology, geriatrics, neurology or surgery. The arrangement also includes a 50% senior assistant position at KSSG, which will enable the post holder to combine scientific and clinical work.
