ABSTRACT
Purpose: Trauma guidelines on spinal motion restriction (SMR) have changed drastically in recent years. This study aimed to develop guidelines on SMR performed by trained lifeguards and prehospital Emergency Medical Services (EMS) following in-water traumatic spinal cord injury (TSCI).
