Brief description/objective

The present project has several objectives. Our main goal is to evaluate the hemodynamic characteristics in particular the mean pulmonary artery wedge pressure (mPAWP) of patients with versus without bendopnea and those with high (supramedian) versus low (inframedian) BOSI and to assess the correlations between bendopnea and mPAWP and BOSI and key hemodynamics (in particular mPAWP). Furthermore, we are aiming to determine clinical characteristics and the degree of limitation in everyday activities of patients with bendopnea and those with high (supramedian) BOSI respectively.
It is hypothesized that bendopnea and BOSI are correlated but that BOSI is a stronger predictor of the mPAWP than the extent of bendopnea.
