The Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) will support the mBiomR project led by PD Dr. Baharak Babouee Flury from our Clinic for Infectious Diseases/Hospital Hygiene with a research funding of CHF 815'000. In the planned four-year project, the distribution dynamics of pathogens of the "ESKAPE" group in the gut, their adaptation and the resistance mechanisms in response to antimicrobial exposure will be investigated. In addition, the recovery of the gut microbiome after the antibiotic treatment will be explored. Congratulations! More information about the project can be found at the following link.
